Gauges with a problem
No gauge currently has a problem.
What the states mean
- Reporting normally: a current USGS reading no more than a few hours old.
- Reporting late: the newest reading is older than usual. The river page says so.
- Flat reading: the gauge reported exactly the same value every hour for the last week. That can be a regulated release or a stuck sensor. The status is still shown, flagged here.
- No current data: no recent reading. The river page shows “No current data” instead of a status.
- Removed (auto): no valid data for 7 days in a row. The gauge is taken off the site automatically, but is still checked every hour and comes back on its own when USGS data is valid again.
- Not shown: failed a basic check (not a stream gauge, negative discharge values, too little history) and is excluded.

Data from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Readings are provisional and subject to revision. Flowcast statuses are automated comparisons with each gauge's own history, not safety ratings or fishing reports. Check local conditions, weather, regulations and closures before you go.
